GERMAN SHORT ROWS (GSR)

On each turning point slip the last stitch and pull the yarn firmly over the needle. This creates a double stitch that looks like 2 legs on 1 stitch. Double stitches are always knitted as 1 stitch if not something else is specified. 1 row of GSR includes 2 turns, both right and wrong side. Each turn is made after the numbers of stitches specified in the pattern.

The first number in the GSR, is number of stitches counted from the middle to the first turn and then from the middle to the next turn. This is the first (and 1) row of GSR.

Read the numbers specified in the format x/y/z/... from left to right. This is numbers of stiches until the next turn, counting form the last turn with the double stitch, where / is the turn. If there is a repetition of turns with the same number of stitches this is specified like x st y times, where x is number of stitches after the last turn and y numbers of rows repeated.
