Binding off an edge repeated with 1 twisted knit stitch (or knit stitch) and 1 purl stitch. Sew down the stiches 1-by-1 with a tapestry needle and yarn tail
Cut the yarn and ensure a long tail at last 3 times the with of the edge. Thread it into the tapestry needle. Keep the needle with the stitches in your left hand and the tapestry needle in your right hand. The first stitch should always be a knit stitch looking from the right or wrong side. If it is a purl stitch from the right side then start from the wrong side.
First, from the right side insert the tapestry needle from the left through the loop of the first knit stitch, remove the stitch from the needle as you insert the tapestry needle from the back of the next knit stitch. Pull carefully the yarn through.
Next, from the wrong side insert the tapestry needle from behind through the loop of the first knit stitch, remove the stitch from the needle as you turn the tapestry needle back towards the work and insert it from the front of the next knit stitch. Pull carefully the yarn through.
Repeat until all stitches are bound off and attach the tread on the inside.
