For this piece, we've been knitting with two strands of Lana Gatto VIP held together, which gives a soft, full fabric with a lovely, even finish.

From the front.

Close up on the dropped shoulders and shaping with German Short Rows from the front. This is the right shoulder.
This is a really nice project for beginners who are ready to explore a few more advanced techniques like German short rows and a permanent folded rib. Nothing overwhelming, but just enough to help you grow your skills in a meaningful way.
If this is your very first sweater, we'd recommend starting with our Grivette No 002. It's a beautiful and more straightforward introduction to the structure and reading patterns of garment knitting. From there, this piece makes a natural next step. But if this makes your heart beat, go for it — we are here to help along the way.

The hems are made with Twisted Rib stitches.
No 003 is one of those knits that you can reach for again and again — easy to wear, timeless, and surprisingly quick to work up, which makes the process just as enjoyable as the finished piece.

Thin Double Folded Neckline with Permanent Folding to keep the structure and clean neckline.

The Neckline are Picked Up and sew down on the inside.

Close up arm hem.

Close up under arm seam. When you Pick Up stitches ensure to add an extra in the beginning and end under arm were the Front and Back are joined. This creates a neat finish without holes.
